When a law firm in Denver sought a new technology partner to manage and monitor its systems after losing faith in its former IT support firm, it chose Sensible Systems because of their experience, professionalism, and affordability.

“We were getting completely ripped off. I think this company was either creating problems, or not fixing something that needed repair knowing it would bunk again in a week so they could bloat their hourly charges,” explained Tom Dean, Network Administrator, Anderson, Hemmat & McQuinn. “We use a software suite called Amicus Attorney and they were supposed to be a certified Amicus partner. Well, our Amicus software was all jacked up because these guys didn’t archive things properly which led to a ton of problems they should have addressed but didn’t.”
The firm subsequently interviewed several managed service providers before choosing Sensible Systems because of their years of experience, breadth of expertise, and its affordable billing options.

The situation: After losing confidence in its outsourced IT partner, a law firm wanted to expand its network and services, and repair its failing server hardware.
Anderson, Hemmat & McQuinn were running VMware ESXi technology on an HP ProLiant ML350p server. There were also four virtual servers comprising a Windows Server 2012 domain controller, an Exchange 2013 server, an application server and a remote desktop services server. A physical QNAP server for network-attached storage was also deployed to support the firm’s Veeam backup solution.
“Sensible Systems is very responsive. I have run into a couple of emergencies and had to call on them before pulling the trigger and trying to fix it,” he said. “He and his team are very easy to work with and help us get things done quickly.”
The Sensible Systems solution: Replace a Cisco ASA 5505 security appliance with a SonicWall NSA 220 UDP to allow remote connectivity, improved the firm’s reporting and security capabilities.
“David and his team definitely go above and beyond to help us when we need it,” Dean added. “They’re knowledgeable and we’ve built an excellent working relationship together.”
