  • Streamline attendee management: Surveys, calendar invitations, automatic confirmation emails and update emails streamline attendee management. Surveys can be incorporated as web slide resources in a meeting, or sent after the meeting to all participants as URLs.
  • Verify your audience comprehension: Simple-to-create tests use a range of question styles, such as fill in the blanks, true-false, single-select, and multi-select, to validate the comprehension of your content. Save time by scoring test results automatically and provide scores to participants individually.
  • Make a bigger impact with dynamic audio and video: Movie clips, Flash animations, and audio files make presentations more memorable. Presenters can easily upload media files and all media clips are virus scanned by Microsoft Forefront before distribution to meeting attendees.
  • Break out into groups: Use Virtual Breakout Rooms to break into groups for one-on-one discussion or more subject matter drill down. Easily roam between rooms and make announcements to address attendees in each specific breakout session.

Windows Azure offers your developers a flexible, familiar environment to create cloud-based applications.

Building out an infrastructure that supports your web service or application can be expensive, complicated and time consuming. Forecasting the highest possible demand, building out the network to support your peak times, getting the right servers in place at the right time, and managing and maintaining the systems all require significant effort, experience and expense.. Or you could look to the Microsoft cloud and Windows Azure.

The Windows Azure platform is a flexible cloud–computing platform that lets you focus on solving business problems and addressing customer needs. No need to invest upfront on expensive infrastructure. Pay only for what you use, scale up when you need capacity and pull it back when you don’t. Microsoft handles all the patches and maintenance — all in a secure environment with over 99.9% uptime.

  • Emerging startups: If you’re building the next Internet hit, the last thing you want is a fail whale. Count on the Windows Azure platform and use your hard–won VC funding on polishing up your product.
  • Global Enterprises: Deploying an update to your customers around the world every six months? Microsoft has datacenters everywhere to handle the heavy lifting. And it’s the ideal extension to your current on–premises systems.
  • Independent Software Vendors: Want to create a Web application based on an existing on–premises Windows application? Use the Windows Azure platform, and you can focus on the business logic, not operational hurdles.
  • And whatever you dream up: It’s new, yet still familiar. Get the SDK and put the Windows Azure platform to work for YOU.
Microsoft Office Web Apps are online companions to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, giving you the freedom to access, edit, and share Microsoft Office documents from virtually anywhere.

Office Web Apps extend the Microsoft Office programs you already know - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote - with the added benefits of anywhere-access and easy sharing. Users can view, share and work on documents with others online across personal computers, mobile phones, and the Web.

When you click on an Office document that is stored in a SharePoint Library the document opens directly in your browser. The document looks the same in the browser as it does in the Office program. Office Web Apps also allows you to edit documents in the browser, using the familiar look and feel of Office. Office Web Apps are officially supported in Windows Internet Explorer 7 and 8 and Firefox 3.5 for Windows, Mac, and Linux, as well as Safari 4 for the Mac.

Office Web Apps make it easier for you to:

  • Extend your Office experience on the Web: Use the Office tools you are familiar with, in a Web environment.
  • Work anywhere: A browser is all you need to access your documents.
  • Work together: Your teammates can work with you on projects regardless of which version of Microsoft Office they have.

To use Office Web Apps in SharePoint, you must have access to a SharePoint 2010 site where Office Web Apps have been installed and configured.
